Selena: Besides the awkward stares from them. . . it went okay.

Demi: Awkward stares? Wait. . . so you werent kidding of wearing a skirt for the first time?

Selena: Correction: its the second time. The first was at Nicks 4th birthday.

Demi: *Giggles* So did Nicks eyeballs fall out?

Selena: What? No! what do you mean?

Demi: What I meant was that you were the only girl there. . . plus you were all dressed up. . . did he. . .

Selena: No! NO!! you got it all wrong. . . Nick and I. . . Nick and I are just friends.

Demi: Oh really?

Selena: Yes! Really!

Demi: Well. . .

Selena: And besides, I dont like him. Hes. . . hes not my type.

Selena: *Turns around*

Nick: Can, we talk?

Nick: Could you help me out on something?

Selena: Youre in trouble again?

Nick: Duh! Remember the talent show? Miley signed me up for it.

Selena: Oh yeah that. . . well, why not go for it. I thought you liked singing.

Nick: Singing? *Pretends to laugh* Since when did I say I sing?

Selena: Last week I heard you singing in the shower before we were going to the movies.

Nick: What? You were there?

Selena: Duh. . . Kevin and Joe said that you sang everyday. . .

Nick: What? Im so gonna kill them!

Selena: Erm. . . Can we just continue from the I dont wanna sing with Miley! Part?

Nick: Ok. So what am I gonna do?

Selena: Maybe you should just try?

Nick: WHAT?! I thought you would discourage me to do this!

Selena: Why? I mean, you like to sing, she likes to sing, and. . .

Nick: Shes a plastic! You told me that!

Selena: Well, I. . .

Nick: Look, forget it, okay? Pretend I never asked.

Selena: Nick wait. . .

Miley: Hey Nick. . . Ready to practice for the talent show?

Nick: *Pauses for awhile* Sure. . . Why not?

*Both of them walks away*

Demi: Selena, are you alright?

Selena: Yeah. Totally.*Mumbles not*

*At Lunch*

Demi: Hey, are we gonna sit with Nick?

Selena: Yeah, I mean no.

Demi: Why not?

Selena: I, erm. . . hes busy preparing for the talent show.

Demi: Talent show? Theres a talent show?

Selena: Yeah, didnt you see the bulletin board?

Demi: I have no idea wheres that.

Selena: Oh, its just outside the theatre.

Demi: Ohkay. . .

Selena: Are you. . . interested on signing it?

Demi: Well, yeah why not.

Selena: So, what are you gonna do? Sing?

Demi: Yeah! Ill sing!

Selena: Oh. Congratulations.

Demi: Why the long face? Ever since you talked to Nick this morning, youve been gloomy. . .

Selena: Its nothing. . .

Demi: Wait, youre not gloomy. . . Youre Jealous!

Selena: Jealous? No Way . . . Selena never gets jealous.

Demi: You like Nick dont you?

Selena: What? No!

Demi: I can tell. . . back at my old school loads of people have been jealous of me.

Selena: Jealous of you? I mean no offence or whatsoever but. . . What did you have?

Demi: A good voice. I always took part in talent shows and won first place!

Selena: Oh cool! So youre like really good in singing eh?

Demi: Well yeah, but I didnt really enjoyed it.

Selena: Why not? I mean you have good vocals and all.

Demi: But, I dont have much friends I could trust. I mean, once you have something good, everyone wants it. Isnt that right?

Selena: Yeah, true. But what has that gotta do with me?

Demi:*Says dramatically* Now that Nick is accepting Miley as a friend. . . She has Nick on her side. And Nick is withering apart from you.

Selena: Wait! How did you know all this?

Demi: Erm. . . *Giggles* sorry but I kinda heard the whole thing. You two so need some whispering lessons?

Selena: Oh. . . The wonder our Math teacher always catch us talking!

Demi: *Laughs* But still, you did say to give Miley a chance and all. . . are you regretting it?

Selena: *Thinks about it* Come to think of it. . . maybe I should give Miley a chance.

Demi: *Smiles* Thats the Selena I know! Giving people chances. . .

Selena: Ive only known you for two days. . .

Demi: It still counts. . . right?
